About This Spot
Stepping into Thai House feels a bit like discovering a quiet corner where the pulse of Southeast Asia lingers softly amidst the modest streets of Tooele. The pace here is unhurried—an intimate pause from the outside world where familiar aromas begin to mingle with the subtle hum of thoughtful service. It’s a spot where simplicity takes the lead, inviting you to ease into the surroundings that, while humble, hold an honest warmth beneath a casual exterior.
The atmosphere carries an understated charm, leaning into comfort over flash, with spaces that suggest stories of shared meals and slow evenings. It’s the kind of place where you might find yourself lingering over the rich layers of a green curry or the comforting embrace of sticky rice, quietly savoring the balance between savory and sweet. The restaurant’s quieter mood creates an intimate setting that, with a little familiarity, can feel like a calm backdrop for exploring the heartfelt flavors of traditional Thai cooking.
Engaging with the staff here often adds a personal touch to the experience; their recommendations hint at local favorites and hidden gems on the menu, helping you navigate dishes that manage to strike a genuine note—whether it’s the crispness of freshly fried rolls or the delicate spicing of classic satay. While the setting might feel understated, the kitchen’s thoughtful execution reveals itself in moments of shared delight, especially when dining family-style becomes a journey through textures and tastes that beckon for a second visit.
For those willing to linger past daylight, Thai House quietly transforms with the dinner menu, inviting a deeper exploration of its culinary offerings. The charm is in the subtle contrasts: the boldness of authentic spices balanced by the coziness of a neighborhood eatery that hasn’t forgotten the importance of slowing down to savor each bite. It’s a place for those who appreciate the nuance of local flavor framed by a softer, more personal dining environment.

It was a somewhat good experience. When I walked in, I wasn’t a fan of the wall seating — it looked old and a bit unclean. The restaurant was empty and very quiet. The service, however, was good; they gave me recommendations and were hospitable. I ordered the spicy noodles and spring rolls. They had no rootbeer so I had coke. The food was okay, but my plate had a lot of vegetables, including a large tomato. I wish the veggies were cut into smaller portions, and more noodles would’ve been nice. I paid $35 for my meal, which felt a bit expensive for the quality, as the food only barely met my expectations. Overall, it’s just an average Thai restaurant — nothing particularly special.

I’ll be back to try other dishes. Not a bad experience just overall mediocre from their lunch menu. Update: after several months, I finally returned for dinner and boy it was so good. Big difference between the lunch menu and the regular menu. Can’t wait to come back.

Pot sticker - 5/5 Thai Iced Tea - 1/5 Fried rice with shrimp - 4/5 Green curry with rice - 4.5/5 The thai iced tea was extremely sweet. All of us enjoyed the potstickers. Fried rice and Green curry was tasty and well cooked.

I am pretty picky about my Thai food, but they really knock it out of the park here. Came with a big group so we ordered family style. Got to eat a diverse range of the dishes. Each one was flavorful and well executed. Pro tip, leave room for the sticky rice mango for dessert. Trés Bien!

Thai House is a charming little spot with a cozy atmosphere. However, the staff seemed a bit unhappy when we arrived just 30 minutes before closing. Despite that, the food was quite good and made for an enjoyable meal. Overall, it's worth a visit for the delicious dishes!

I'm normally not a fan of Asian food but out of all of the things that I got here, it was all really good. I like when I go with a group because we all get something different and then share. It is the best way to do it. Next time I go I probably will not get the soup stuff again but instead get more of the plated food.
